Coffee may benefit the heart.

CALLING all coffee lovers!!

According to the latest and largest analysis on this topic from the American College of Cardiology…(drumroll)....

☕ Drinking coffee is associated with a lower risk of heart disease and with living longer!

The research team looked at data from the UK BioBank, which followed over half a million people for 10 years.

Regardless of whether a person did or did not have existing heart disease, they found that drinking coffee either had no effect or a beneficial effect on heart health.

How much coffee?

☕☕☕The greatest benefit was seen when drinking 2-3 cups per day. This translated to a 10%-15% lower risk of developing coronary heart disease, heart failure, a heart rhythm problem, or dying for any reason.

Why might coffee benefit the heart?

Coffee beans actually have over 100 active compounds, many of which are powerful antioxidants. They combat oxidative stress and inflammation, which are both important mechanisms to support heart health ❤️

Everyone is unique, and some people don’t metabolize caffeine as well as others, so it’s always best to take an individual approach!

Be sure to always drink your coffee after eating something (Something small is fine) to protect your digestion, hormones and more!

Tell me—do you love this news or prefer your cuppa tea?
