Lab Testing & Reports
This lab section was built to teach you how to think about labs, not just run them. Instead of chasing single markers, testing is organized around functional patterns, metabolic efficiency, hormone signaling, nutrient status, gut resilience, and inflammatory load, using the same systems-based lens I applied in clinical practice. Panels are intentionally comprehensive and include key nutrient testing, functional markers, and essential vitamins and minerals, so you’re not left guessing which deficiencies or imbalances may be driving symptoms. Each lab option is selected because it answers a specific “why,” not because it’s excessive or trendy. The goal is clarity, context, and smarter next steps, so results actually mean something. As the science evolves and better tools become available, this section will continue to expand.
At this time, lab ordering through The Solinger Method is not available for individuals residing in New York, Rhode Island, or New Jersey due to state-specific regulations.

Functional Lab Reports transform raw lab data into meaningful insight using the OptimalDx reporting system and a systems-based functional framework. Instead of viewing lab values as simply “normal” or “abnormal,” these reports analyze how markers relate to one another across nutrients, hormones, metabolism, inflammation, detoxification, and energy systems. This pattern-based approach helps reveal functional imbalances, compensation patterns, and nutrient relationships that are often missed on standard lab printouts.

Each report organizes findings into clear functional categories and provides targeted, educational insights and wellness-oriented considerations based on identified patterns. This allows lab results to be understood in context, highlighting where support may be beneficial and how different systems influence one another.
Reports can be added on to lab panels ordered through The Solinger Method or purchased separately for individuals who already have existing lab results. The goal is clarity, connection, and actionable understanding, so labs become a roadmap rather than a page of disconnected numbers.
This is the part where people go, “Oh. This is why functional medicine is different.”
